SG365 - Day 23 – Know your yardages

I am stunned on a regular basis by golfers’ lack of knowledge when it comes to how far they can hit each club. Knowing our yardages, for me, is a fundamental. Most have an inflated view of their numbers and are also way more concerned with their total yardage rather than their carry distance. Carry distance is so much more relevant especially when approaching greens and carrying sand traps or water.

A rangefinder can help you discern your numbers on the driving range, or, better still, go to an indoor golf centre and hit balls on the simulators. They’ll give you very accurate carry and total distances. Take a notebook and write them down. Your yardages will change day to day but your book will give you a great basis to work from. #knowyournumbers #golfyardages #indoorgolf #golfsims #trackman #synergygolf365 #golfequipment365
